We started with a simple 3 column layout, which will be full shortly, no fancy graphics or whatnot, just simple block to see what we have. You could take this and pretty it up any way you like but I'm keeping it simple.
I made this to see what I could do with smarty as far as how many changes can be made with 1 template depending on which content block was filled or had any kind of content, such as you can invoke a left side menu just by putting anything in a one line content block. So now I can make 8 different layouts with one template... FUN!
I found that I could use the flex CSS to make these boxes appear out of order of what the are in the template, and another thing I found out was it made all flex containers the same height, cool huh, this one is at the top which would normally mean you had to use float to get it in the middle because it's the second block in the template but when it goes down to 480px the left block is first, Ugh, not cool so flex it is...YAY!.
